You might think the life of a Fae might sound wonderful, right?
Well, sure! Flying, magic, potions, animal friends, a completely separate dimension, the works.
But… there’s also the possibility of dark shadow demons lurking in every corner, intense training, no meat lover’s pizza, steamed toadstools for breakfast, and a vanishing river.
At least, that’s the kind of life thirteen-year-old Isabella Bennett is dragged into. She finds one seashell and then it’s time to leave home. Now she has to come to terms with a family she never knew, and a name she never had.
Maybe just being human isn’t so bad after all…

What’s worse than being sent away to a strange and magical land for two years where you’re the only odd one out? How about coming back home after those two years only to find out the people closest to you never even knew you were gone?
Well, that’s what Isabella—oops, I mean Iris—has to deal with after word gets out that a Fae has gone missing. Her last known whereabouts: New York City.
Now it’s up to Iris to find out what became of the lost Fae, while keeping her identity (and her people’s existence) under wraps. Hard to do that while putting up a balancing act between homework, relationships, and old enemies in the shadows.
The life of a Fae… never a dull moment.
